Jordan Leads Cal Trio Of All-Pro Honors

BERKELEY  Former Cal football players Cameron Jordan (New Orleans Saints), Alex Mack (Atlanta Falcons) and Mitchell Schwartz (Kansas City Chiefs) earned NFL All-Pro honors on Friday as announced by the league. Jordan picked up first-team honors while Mack and Schwartz were named to the second team. 

This marks the third time in Mack's career that he has earned second-team All-Pro honors, while this is the second straight season in which Schwartz has garnered second-team recognition and this is the first time Jordan has earned All-Pro honors.

Season (11-5, 1st, NFC South Champions, No. 4 NFC Playoff Seed) – 62 tackles, 13 sacks, 17 TFL, 21 QH, 1 INT (TD), 12 PD, 2 FF
NFL Rankings –  TFL (T3rd), Sacks (T4th)
• Named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his Week 6 performance in a win over Detroit that included an interception in the Detroit end zone for his first career touchdown
• Named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for November with 15 tackles and 4.5 sacks while helping the Saints extend a win streak to eight games before it was snapped in their last game of November with a road loss to the Los Angeles Rams
