BOWLING GREEN, Ohio –
Women's gymnastics duo Arianna Robinson
and Nina Schank
earned Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America status, the organization announced Monday.
Robinson, who graduated in May with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, picks up the second Scholastic All-America laurel of her career. She also collected three consecutive Pac-12 All-Academic honors during her Cal career.
Rising sophomore Schank adds her first career academic award to an All-Pac-12 uneven bars honor. She won a team-best five titles on the event and tallied her career-high 9.925 thrice in her debut season.
The duo are among the 760 student-athletes who earned recognition. Gymnasts must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher to be recognized as WCGA Scholastic All-Americans.
Under the direction of head coach Justin Howell
, the Bears have captured 20 WCGA awards throughout the last six seasons. Cal finished with a team GPA of 3.21 in 2018.
