BERKELEY – Keenan Allen recorded season highs of 12 receptions, 159 yards receiving and two touchdown catches to lead the Los Angeles Chargers to a 54-24 home victory over the Buffalo Bills to highlight performances by former Cal players in Week 11 action of the National Football League schedule. Fellow former Golden Bear receivers DeSean Jackson and Marvin Jones Jr. and also had receiving touchdowns in respective wins over Miami and Chicago, respectively.
Five former Cal players are on teams that currently have at least a share of a Division title in Tyson Alualu (Pittsburgh Steelers, AFC North), Jared Goff (Los Angeles Rams, NFC West), Cameron Jordan (New Orleans Saints, NFC South), Mychal Kendricks (Philadelphia Eagles, NFC East) and Mitchell Schwartz (Kansas City Chiefs, AFC West). Kendricks' Eagles have an NFL-best 9-1 record.
Cal began the season ranked second in the Pac-12 and tied for 13th nationally with 32 former Golden Bears representing Cal as players on the NFL teams when the league's 2017 season opened. The current list includes 31 players on active 53-man NFL rosters and three others who are members of practice squads. Three more former Cal players are coaching in the NFL.
