- Qualified for NCAA Championships through Pac-12 Invitational & went on to make a major impact with 31 team points for the Bears

- His 200 fly time of 1:38.83 ranked second nationally & set a Cal school record (broke Tom Shields' record of 1:39.65 set in 2013)

- Two-time Olympian, competing for his native country of Singapore at 2016 Rio Olympics & 2012 London Games
- Became Singapore's first swimmer to qualify for an Olympic semifinal when he reached 200 fly semis in Rio

Personal
- Born on Sept. 29, 1996
- Has two sisters, Ting Wen Quah & Jing Wen Quah, both of which also represent Singapore in international swimming
- Graduated from Anglo-Chinese School's International Baccalaureate program in 2015 with 43 points out of a maximum possible 45 & was admitted to National University of Singapore's prestigious school of medicine
