Cal-Washington Postgame Notes

  • Jaylen Brown finished with 23 points, the 11th game in a row he has reached double figures in scoring. He has scored at least 20 points in five of six Pac-12 road games this year.
  • With his 18 points, Tyrone Wallace raised his career total to 1,519. He remains 11th in school history.
  • With two more 3-pointers, Jordan Mathews moved up to a tie for fifth on Cal's season list, now with 68 (also Ryan Drew, 1989-90). His career high is 70 from last year. Mathews also has now made multiple 3-pointers in 20 different games this season.
  • With his 18 total points, Mathews moved up to 35th on Cal's career scoring chart, now with 1,091. Next up is Andy Wolfe, who had 1,112 points from 1946-48.
  • Kameron Rooks grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds, breaking his previous best of 12 at Colorado and vs. Stanford.
  • Ivan Rabb also set a career high with 14 rebounds, the 10th time this season he had at least 10 in a game. He had 13 twice previously, vs. Rice and East Carolina – two of the first three games of the season.
  • As a team, Cal set a season high with 54 rebounds. The Bears' previous best was 50 vs. Seattle on Dec. 1.
  • Cal has won four consecutive games vs. Washington in Seattle
  • With a 54-44 rebounding margin, Cal has had at least a +10 differential in 13 of its 18 wins.
  • Cal's defense held Washington to just 32.9 percent shooting overall and to 27.8 percent in the second half.
