NORMAN, Okla. – The Cal men's golf program was honored Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association America with an Outstanding Team Academic Award for having a team GPA of 3.0 or above for the 2018-19 academic year. Cal earned the recognition for the fourth consecutive season and the 10th time in the last 11 campaigns.

"I'm very proud of the work the players have put into the classroom," Alex and Marie Shipman Director of Men's Golf Walter Chun said. "Cal is an elite academic institution, and to see the players succeeding in the classroom is a testament to their pursuit of a good education. I couldn't be more proud of them."
