SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 announced 10-game conference-only football schedules for the 2020 season on Friday. The plan to return to competition follows Pac-12 Medical Advisory Committee guidelines prioritizing health and safety and designed to provide maximum flexibility. Cal is scheduled to get underway by visiting Oregon State on Saturday, Sept. 26, while the Golden Bears are slated to open a five-game home docket against Washington on Oct. 10 at California Memorial Stadium.

Kickoff times and television information for all games will be announced at later dates.

The Pac-12 CEO Group also announced Friday that conference football teams will be allowed to start 20 hours of summer access mandatory activities beginning as early as Aug. 3 followed by the start of training camp as soon as Aug. 17, in both cases subject to allowance by public health officials and medical advice. Under the current Berkeley Public Health Order, Cal football student-athletes may conduct outdoor workouts only and in cohorts of no more than 12.

The Pac-12 CEO Group also approved competition start dates and preseason practice polices for conference-only seasons for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and men's and cross country, with competition to start no earlier than the weekend of Sept. 26. The first permissible date of practice for these sports will be Aug. 15, with practice policies and competition in all cases subject to the approval of public health authorities and medical advice.

Earlier this month, the Pac-12 CEO Group decided that football, volleyball, and men's and women's soccer would play conference-only games this fall.
