ANNUAL HEADSTRONG GAME SUNDAY AGAINST FRESNO STATE
— Cal lacrosse dedicates today's game against Fresno State to the HEADstrong Foundation. Nick Colleluori, who played for the Hofstra men's lacrosse team was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and founded the HEADstrong Foundation in 2007. HEADstrong provides financial, residential and emotional support to families and individuals affected by cancer. Although Nick passed away in 2007, his legacy lives on through this amazing foundation. They have helped over 18,000 families by raising over 18.5 million dollars to improve the quality of life of those affected by cancer. 
— Today we honor the memory of Nick and those who have lost their battle to cancer, and we play for those who are fighting, beating and affected by cancer.
 
CAL-FRESNO STATE HISTORY
— Cal's lone victory in 2021 is a 14-12 win at Fresno State in the first of two scheduled meetings between the teams this season on March 5
— Cal holds an 8-4 lead in the all-time series between the teams although Fresno State has won four of the last six after Cal won the first six including a 19-0 win in the first meeting on February 7, 2009 
— Cal has won three of the five meetings in Berkeley although Fresno State has won each of the last two (4/3/16, 4/6/18) with Cal's last home win in the series an 11-7 triumph on April 15, 2014   

RECENT ACTION: GOLDEN BEARS DROP FIFTH STRAIGHT AT STANFORD
— Cal lost its fifth straight contest to open its Pac-12 schedule with a 21-4 loss at Stanford on Friday in its most recent action after earlier conference defeats against USC (18-10) and Arizona State (21-11) at home, and on the road at Oregon (14-9) and Colorado (15-5) during its first half of Pac-12 games

WINNING THE DRAW CONTROL GAME
— Cal has a 107-105 advantage over its opponents in draw controlS this season and has won the draw control battle in five of its first eight contests vs. San Diego State (14-12), at Fresno State (17-11), vs. Arizona State (20-14), at Oregon (13-12) and at Colorado (11-10)

Quinnlyn Mason is Cal's leading scorer with 18 points on a team-high 15 goals and three assists, while she is followed closely by Marisa Kuberra (16 points - 12 goals, 4 assists), Nikki Zaccaro (16 points - 9 goals, team-high 7 assists) and Megan Mix (14 points - 11 goals, 3 assists)
— Mason is also Cal's leader in game-winning goals (1), free position goals (6) and free position attempts (10)
LizaBanks Campagna leads Cal in draw controls (44), ground balls (21) and caused turnovers (18) with her caused turnovers also leading the league while she is third in the league in draw controls and ground balls
 
ZACCARO REACHES 100 CAREER POINTS
Nikki Zaccaro became the first player on Cal's current roster to reach 100 career points when she got to the mark against Arizona State on March 14 and now has 106 (45 G, 61 A) in 52 games

UP NEXT: CAL CONTINUES NON-CONFERENCE STRETCH
— Cal will hit the road for a pair of non-conference contests on Thursday at UC Davis (5 pm PT) and Easter Sunday at San Diego State (Noon PT). Cal will be playing both teams for the second time this season after opening the campaign with home losses of 14-8 to UC Davis and 12-11 against San Diego State in the first two games in 2021
