Bears Earn Academic All-District Honors

Hunter Barth, Aidan Keanaaina and Craig Woodson Recognized By College Sports Communicators

Three California football players were named to the 2024 Academic All-District Team, College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Tuesday morning. 

Hunter Barth, Aidan Keanaaina and Craig Woodson were recognized for their performances on the football field and in the classroom.

Barth is a 2024 fall graduate as an economics major and data science minor. He played in all 13 games in 2024, contributing 38 tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks. Barth also forced two fumbles and defended two passes.

Keanaaina is a graduate student studying for a public health master's degree and started all 13 games for the Bears this season. He notched 45 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack. Keanaaina also defended a pass.

Woodson is also a graduate student, studying film and media. He earned his third straight Academic All-District honor after starting all 13 games for the Bears as a sixth-year senior. Woodson recorded 70 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and one fumble recovery while defending seven passes.

To qualify for the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District football team, student-athletes must meet the following criteria: Be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in 90% of the institution's games or start in at least 66% of the institution's games.
