Cal Wraps Homestand Against Idaho
Bears’ Seek Seventh Straight Home Win
The California women's basketball team (7-3) will wrap its two-game homestand against Idaho (8-2) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PT at Haas Pavilion.
The Golden Bears will look to extend their six-game home winning streak and win their 18th straight nonconference game at Haas Pavilion dating back to the 2023-24 season.
This is just the fourth meeting between the two programs with Cal holding a 3-1 series advantage and a two-game winning streak. The two teams last played on Nov. 16, 2022, in an 84-71 Bears' win at Haas Pavilion.
Idaho is currently 8-2 and has won seven of its last eight games. The Vandals, picked to finish third in the Big Sky preseason poll, are led by second-year head coach Arthur Moreira, who guided the team to 18 wins last year - an Idaho record for a first-year head coach. His team features 2025 All-Big Sky guard Hope Hassman, who was named Big Sky Player of the Week on Nov. 18, and Kyra Gardner, who earned the recognition on Nov. 11 following a standout performance against Washington State in which she tallied career highs in points scored (26), rebounds (8), made three pointers (6) and steals (5).
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ACCNX with Dave Benz and Ashlee Jones on the call.
