The California lacrosse team opens its 2026 season on Feb. 6 at San Diego State.
The California lacrosse team unveiled its 2026 schedule on Tuesday with the Golden Bears slated to open both their home and ACC ledgers against Florida State at California Memorial Stadium on Feb. 13. The Seminoles will be in their first season as an intercollegiate lacrosse program. Cal begins its entire 2026 regular-season slate a week prior with a pair of nonconference road contests Feb. 6 and Feb. 8 at former Pac-12 foes San Diego State and USC.
"As we look ahead to the 2026 season, there's a real sense of excitement as we open ACC play at home and continue our journey in the conference," head coach
Jennifer Wong said. "Our returners carry the growth and experience gained from our inaugural ACC season, and they've trained with purpose to elevate our performance even further. This group is hungry, confident, and ready to take a significant step forward in year two of ACC play."
After the home and ACC opener against Florida State, the Bears will be back on the road for three of their next four contests with a nonconference game at another former Pac-12 foe Oregon (Feb. 19) followed by their first ACC road trip of the campaign at Duke (Feb. 28) and Syracuse (March 3). Cal will host yet another former Pac-12 opponent in UC Davis in a nonconference tilt on Feb. 23 in between the Oregon and Duke/Syracuse trips.Â
The home schedule heats up with four in a row in Strawberry Canyon over a 10-day stretch against Boston College (March 7), Stonehill (March 9), North Carolina (March 12) and Marist (March 16).
Cal will follow the four-game home stand with its longest road trip as the Bears will spread out three games over an eight-day spring break journey. The Bears will have ACC contests on back-to-back Saturdays at Louisville (March 21) and Notre Dame (March 28) with a nonconference Tuesday tilt at Xavier (March 24) in between.
The Bears return to Berkeley to host Clemson (April 3) and Virginia Tech (April 11, Senior Day) to start the final month of the regular season and then stay local when they wrap up the regular season at Stanford (April 16). The ACC Championships will be April 24-26 at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The NCAA Championships run May 9-24. The first round and quarterfinals will be played at campus sites before the semifinals and finals at Northwestern's Martin Stadium in Chicago.
