4 Bears Earn All-MPSF Honors

Sherman, Donley Repeat On First Team; Hong, Pally Garner Second-Team Accolades

The No. 8 California beach volleyball team was well-represented on the All-MPSF Team that was announced Thursday, with senior Portia Sherman and Emma Donley earning their second consecutive first-team selections and senior Marilu Pally and junior Grace Hong nabbing second-team accolades.

Sherman and Donley enter this week's NCAA Championship with a record of 29-5 as the Golden Bears' top pair. They boast 10 victories over top-10 opponents and another seven over other pairs that are nationally ranked. All five of their losses are against top-10 foes. Sherman and Donley are currently the fourth-ranked pair in the country, according to TruVolley.

Pally and Hong have spent most of the season as Cal's No. 2 pair, compiling a 13-9 record together. As a duo, they've registered nine ranked victories, including four over top-10 opponents. All but one of their defeats have come against ranked foes.

Hong is 20-13 overall individually this season, including a win over No. 6 Texas partnering with sophomore Elle Evers. Pally is 18-11 overall this season.

The four all-conference selections tie for the most in program history, along with two other seasons.
