HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At San Ramon Valley High School was a two-time all-league selection, as well as an all-county and all-state pick as a senior…also led his team to the North Coast Section title in 1999 at the Oakland Coliseum…competed in the California North-South All-Star Series in 2000...has an impressive history of success as he has been a member of teams that won the PONY World Series in 1997 and the American Legion World Series in 2000…won the James F. Daniel Jr. Memorial Award as the MVP of the American Legion World Series after pitching a complete game with three hits, only one walk and 11 strikeouts in the Danville Hooters' 2-1 championship victory over Paducah, Kentucky...finished the American Legion World Series with no earned runs in 17.0 innings...two of his jerseys are in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown...in the summer of 2001 pitched for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League, going 2-2 with three saves, an impressive 0.56 ERA and had only nine walks with 51 strikeouts in 32.3 innings...in the summer of 2002 for the Bourne Braves, went 3-3 with a 1.20 ERA, recording 59 strikeouts with only 11 walks in 52.0 innings...his 59 strikeouts were third-best in the Cape Cod League…was also the starting pitcher for the Cape Cod League West All-Star Team, and despite only throwing one inning, was the winning pitcher…in his one inning of action, gave up one hit with one walk and three strikeouts in the West's 4-1 victory over the East…majoring in economics...parents are Mike and Delia Brown...born August 14, 1982 in San Francisco, CA.
