California Athletics Hall of Fame
An All-America center who made 39 consecutive starts to close out his Cal career, Alex Mack was a three-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection and won the Morris Trophy in both 2007 and 2008. He helped power an offense that averaged over 400 yards per game in three of his four seasons and paved the way for running back Marshawn Lynch's back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns. Off the field, Mack graduated magna cum laude as a legal studies major, won the NFF William V. Campbell Trophy as the nation's top football scholar-athlete, and was named the 2008 Pac-10 Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Selected 21st overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2009 NFL Draft, he went on to a 13-year NFL career with the Browns, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers, starting all 196 games he played, earning seven Pro Bowl selections, and helping the Falcons reach Super Bowl LI. He was later named to the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team.
