An All-American and four-time All-Pac-10 selection during her time at Cal from 2007-10, Alex Morgan went on to become one of the most impactful players in the history of American women's soccer. She helped the U.S. Women's National Team win two World Cup titles, in 2015 and 2019, across four World Cup appearances, and captured Olympic gold at the 2012 London Games. Morgan was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 Women's Professional Soccer Draft, launching a professional career that spanned stints with clubs including the Portland Thorns and Orlando Pride. Over more than a decade with the national team, she developed into one of the sport's most prolific scorers and recognizable global ambassadors, helping grow the visibility of women's soccer both in the United States and abroad.
