California Athletics Hall of Fame
The first Cal player named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, Alexis Gray-Lawson overcame a torn ACL as a sophomore to finish her career as the program's all-time leader in games played (143, all starts) and three-pointers made (211), while ranking third in Cal scoring history with 1,982 points. Her signature moment came as a junior, when she scored a career-high 37 points to beat then-No. 2 Stanford, capping the performance with a driving basket in the final seconds. A three-time All-Pac-10 selection who also earned Pac-10 All-Defensive honors as a senior, she capped her career by winning the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award as the nation's top player 5-foot-8 or shorter and leading Cal to the 2010 WNIT championship, earning tournament MVP honors. She was selected by the Washington Mystics in the third round of the 2010 WNBA Draft and later returned to the Bay Area to coach the next generation of players.
