California Athletics Hall of Fame
A seven-time NCAA champion, Damir Dugonjic won three consecutive individual titles in the 100-yard breaststroke, with his final crown in 2011 contributing to the Bears' NCAA team championship that year. He set the NCAA record in the 100 breaststroke as a sophomore and was an eight-time All-American over his Cal career. Representing his native Slovenia, Dugonjic competed in three Olympic Games — 2008, 2012 and 2016 — registering a pair of top-20 finishes in the 100 breaststroke on the international stage. His combination of collegiate dominance and sustained Olympic-level performance makes him one of the most accomplished swimmers in program history.
