One of the most prolific scorers in Cal water polo history, Ivan Rackov ranks fourth on the program's all-time scoring list with 235 career goals and fifth on the single-season list with 79 goals in 2010. He capped that 2010 season by winning the Peter J. Cutino Award as the top player in NCAA water polo and being named the ACWPC National Player of the Year, while also earning three-time All-American honors over his Cal career. Rackov led the Bears to the 2010 NCAA championship game, the program's deepest tournament run during his time in Berkeley. His combination of scoring instincts and leadership made him one of the defining players of his era in collegiate water polo.
