California Athletics Hall of Fame
The winningest head coach in Cal football history, Jeff Tedford inherited a program that had won just one game in 2001 and turned it into a consistent national contender over 11 seasons, posting an 82-57 record in a school-record 139 games. He led the Bears to a school-record seven straight bowl appearances from 2003-09, going 5-3 in the postseason, including a school-record four consecutive bowl wins from 2005-08. Tedford twice guided Cal to 10-win seasons, in 2004 and 2006, with the 2006 team sharing the Pac-10 title — the program's only conference championship in the 47 years prior. He was twice named Pac-10 Coach of the Year and produced 47 NFL Draft picks, including six first-round quarterbacks. Tedford later returned to his alma mater, Fresno State, where he won two Mountain West titles across two head-coaching stints.
