California Athletics Hall of Fame
A four-year starter who appeared in 142 games, Layshia Clarendon ranks fifth in Cal scoring history with 1,821 career points and eighth in assists with 395, leading the Bears in scoring as both a junior (12.8 ppg) and senior (16.4 ppg). She earned WBCA All-America honorable mention as a junior before claiming the same distinction from the Associated Press as a senior, and was a three-time All-Pac-12 honoree with first-team recognition in both her junior and senior seasons. Clarendon led Cal to the program's only Final Four appearance in 2013 and capped her career by being named the 2012-13 Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year while also earning a spot on the conference's All-Academic Team three times. She was selected ninth overall in the first round of the 2013 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever and went on to a decorated 11-year professional career, earning a WNBA All-Star selection in 2017 and winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2018 FIBA World Championship.
