California Athletics Hall of Fame
Already an Olympic hero before she ever set foot on campus, Missy Franklin arrived at Cal in 2013 fresh off winning four gold medals and a bronze at the 2012 London Games. Over two seasons with the Bears, she captured four individual NCAA titles and three relay crowns, punctuated by a triple-title performance at the 2015 NCAA Championships that included an American-record swim in the 200 free and helped lead Cal to the 2015 NCAA team championship — the program's fourth. She was named the 2015 NCAA Swimmer of the Year and won the Honda Award as the nation's top female swimmer. Franklin turned professional after her sophomore season, going on to add to a career medal haul that includes five Olympic golds.
