DeVon Hardin, who set career highs with 23 points and 14 rebounds Saturday, was voted Golden Bear Classic MVP. He was joined on the all-tournament team by Richard Midgley (Cal), Ayinde Ubaka (Cal), Jose Juan Barea (Northeastern), Shawn James (Northeastern) and Mike Efevberha (Cal State Northridge).

Cal has won nine of 13 Golden Bear Classics, including eight of 10 under head coach Ben Braun.

DeVon Hardin has set a career scoring high in each of his last three games -- 14 points vs. Long Beach State, 21 points vs. Northern Colorado and 23 points vs. Northeastern.

Ayinde Ubaka also set his career best with 21 points against Northeastern.

Cal shot better than 50 percent from the floor for the first time this year (50.9%).

The Bears committed just 10 turnovers in the game (five in each half) after Northeastern forced Cal State Northridge into 29 turnovers Friday night.

Cal has had at least four players reach double figures in scoring in every game this season.

All five of Cal's starters played at least 33 minutes and no reserve played more than nine minutues.

Senior Rod Benson sat out the game after tweaking his heel vs. Northern Colorado Friday. A stress fracture in the heel kept him out of the opener, as well, but he is expected to return against San Jose State Wednesday.
