"We played a very fierce and tough Arizona team tonight. They played hard as heck. They never backed down. We had to play awfully hard to get this win. Arizona is a very athletic team. That's the best pressure we've seen in a long time. It was important that we maintained our composure against them."

"Give our guys credit. We said before tonight that we were not going to be satisfied staying out on the perimeter. I thought our guys were aggressive and did a good job taking the ball to the glass."

"We had to do what we had to do to get this win. We've been making big free throws down the stretch lately, and that's why we are where we are right now in the Pac-10 standings. Whoever we put in the game tonight gave us positive contributions."

"Cal did a good job on us tonight. (Leon) Powe is a man among boys. He absolutely destroyed us. Having him score as many points as he did really killed us. He was able to slide past two or three defenders to go to the basket. He is probably; he and Ike (Digou) are probably the best people that chase their rebounds down the best."

I thought (Ayinde) Ubaka did a good job of controlling the tempo. He didn't score a lot, but he was good at slowing the game down. When we were shooting well, he'd get the ball and slow it down."

"It's really disappointing that we were not able to shoot or execute our plays. They did extremely well transitioning on us. The early led put a lot of pressure on us."
