Freshman Patrick Christopher, who did not start due to a sore groin, scored a career-high 16 points in 23 minutes of action. He had 13 points in the first half when he sank 6-of-9 shots from the floor. His previous best was 10 points vs. USC.

Ayinde Ubaka grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds, topping his previous high of seven set vs. Washington on Jan. 13.

Alex Pribble gained his second straight start, subbing for Patrick Christopher.

Tonight's victory over Oregon (#15 AP/#17 ESPN/USA Today) was Cal's first over a ranked opponent this season. The Bears had lost their first seven games to ranked foes.

Cal held Oregon to just 41.1 percent shooting from the floor. Cal's previous seven opponents had shot 50 percent or higher.

Cal improved to 12-2 when holding opponents to 70 points or less this year.
