Cal tied its season high with nine steals against Washington. The Bears also had nine steals at Arizona State Dec. 30. Individually, Omar Wilkes matched his career best with three steals.
Ayinde Ubaka, who did not start because he missed Wednesday's practice with lingering effects of an intestinal virus, came off the bench to play 34 minutes and score a team-high 20 points. He had started Cal's previous 53 games over the past two seasons.
With his 20 points, Ubaka moved within one point of tying Kevin Singleton for 26th on Cal's all-time scoring list. Ubaka now has 1,067 points to Singleton's 1,068.
Cal committed just 10 total turnovers vs. Washington. Over their past four games, the Bears have combined for 40 turnovers, or 10.0 per game.
Theo Robertson had another strong all-around game with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 charge taken. All 11 of his points came in the first half.
