Cal improved to 8-2 on the season with tonight's victory over Nevada, and remained a perfect 8-0 when leading at halftime. The Bears boast a 6-0 record in Haas Pavilion so far this year, and have now won 28 of their last 31 non-conference home games.
Jerome Randle's team-best 23 points marked the ninth time this year that he has been Cal's leading scorer. Patrick Christopher was the Bears' leading rebounder for the first time this season with six on the day.
For the second time this season, Randle and Christopher were both perfect from the free-throw line (Randle 7-7, Christopher 4-4). On the season, Randle is currently shooting 86.8 percent from the line, while Christopher is right behind him at 86.7.
Randle also increased his scoring average to 20.6 ppg, as he was 7-for-10 from the floor against the Wolf Pack. He also collected a game-high eight assists today, which gave him a team-best 47 on the season.
Theo Robertson drilled both three-pointers that he took today. In the past two contests, Robertson is 5-for-5 from the three-point line. Robertson is shooting 62.5 percent on the season from behind the arc.
