SAN JOSE, Calif. - Cal advances to the Pac-10 Tournament title game for the first time. It will attempt to become the first #2 seed to win the title (Four #1s and two #3s have won the previous six championships.)

Cal improved to 26-5 overall, improving on its school record for wins in a season.

Cal and ASU had previously met twice in the Pac-10 Tournament. Cal won a first-round game, 46-38, in 2003. The Bears avenged a 60-53 setback to the Sun Devils in the semifinals last year.

Devanei Hampton posted her eighth double-double of the season and 25th of her career with her 19 points and 16 rebounds (season high).

Ashley Walker notched her Pac-10-leading 13th double-double of the season and 33rd of her career today with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Walker moved from ninth to six all-time in rebounding in school history with 796. She looks to become the sixth player in school history to amass 800 rebounds in the Pac-10 championship game.

Cal broke its school record for three-pointers made in a season. The Bears now have 141 three-pointers this season, surpassing the 1995-96 team (135). Today, Can was 6-of-15 from three-point range, with Natasha Vital tying her career high of three treys.
