Today's loss marked Cal's first home loss of the season. The last time the Bears lost at home was against Washington on March 1, 2008. Thursday's loss was also Cal's first loss when it led at halftime. The Bears were up, 43-36, at the half.
Jamal Boykin once again had another strong game, posting his third double-double of the season (15 points, 10 rebounds) and the team's fifth. Boykin went 6-for-10 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. It was the ninth time this season that Boykin has led the team in rebounds.
Jerome Randle tallied his 10th 20-point outing of the season, the team's 17th, with his 20 points on the night. Randle also added eight assists and six rebounds. Randle moved into ninth all-time on the school's career list for three-point field goals made with 123. He swished five of his 10 attempts from behind the arc against Oregon State. In addition, Randle is one assist shy of tying Chris Washington for 10th all-time in school history for careers assists (309).
