• The Golden Bears finished their season with a 45-13 record after making the program's 11th trip to the WCWS (the most appearances of this year's participating schools).

• Florida improved to 54-11 by eliminating California from the WCWS, 5-2.

• This marks the third time in the last four years that Florida has ended the Golden Bears' season.

• California sophomore Jordan Wallace was hit by a pitch for the team-high 18th time this season. That marks the second time in this year's WCWS and third time this NCAA postseason she has been hit by a pitch.

• California junior Jace Williams' run-scoring single in the first inning upped her team-high season RBI total to 42.

• California sophomore pitcher Jolene Henderson took the loss and finished the year with a 34-8 record. She gave up five runs (all earned) on 10 hits and five walks while fanning five in 6.0 innings.

• The win for Florida was its seventh of the year when trailing by at least two runs. The Gators trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but scored three runs in the third and one each in the fourth and fifth frames.

• The three-run victory margin was Florida's largest against Cal and extended its winning streak in the series to five games, dating back to 2008.

• Florida has scored five runs or more in 48 of 65 contests this season, including each of its three WCWS games. It improved to 44-4 when scoring at least five runs.

• In her first WCWS start, Florida freshman pitcher Hannah Rogers gave up two first-inning runs (one earned) before shutting down Cal over the next three frames. She surrendered six hits and a walk while recording the Gators' only strikeout to improve to 35-7 on the year.

• Florida senior pitcher Stephanie Brombacher acquired her first save of the season and fifth of her career. Brombacher pitched 3.0 innings and gave up one hit and one walk on 42 pitches. She started Florida's first two games of this WCWS.
