Will be one of the Bears' senior leaders and an anchor of Cal's defense...is one of Cal's team captains this season...a multi-talented player with good size, speed and an outstanding outside shot...will help the Bears offensively as a driver and defensively at two-meters...has scored 18 goals in two seasons at Cal.

AS A JUNIOR (2001): Tallied 12 goals, including a goal against Stanford in the final of the NCAA Tournament...was a MPSF All-Academic selection, earning conference all-academic honors for the third year in a row.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2000): Scored six goals in his first season of extensive action on the varsity squad...was a MPSF All-Academic selection in both 1999 and 2000.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Miramonte High School was a two-time first team all-league and All-America selection in water polo...helped lead his team to the North Coast Section championship in 1996 and '97...also competed three years on the swim team...was a member of the 1997 National Junior Team...brother, James, was a member of the Cal water polo team from 1997-00...majoring in political science...parents are Tom and Ronda Lathrop...born April 22, 1980 in Berkeley, CA.
