Junior (2008): Did not compete.

Sophomore (2007): Advanced to the 800-meter final in the NCAA West Regional, clocking in at 1:51.23...ran his regional-qualifying and lifetime-best 1:49.97 in the 800-meter run to take fourth in the Pac-10 prelim; eventually led Cal in third at 1:50.10 in the final...also posted a 3:51.38 in the 1500 in the Jim Click Shootout and a 4:13.72 in the mile at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational...part of the All-American distance medley relay that set a school-record 9:33.77 and took second place at the NCAA Indoor Championships...ran a 1:51.95 in the 800 at the Husky Classic...took 11th at the MPSF championships with a 1:53.23 in the 800...anchored the 4x400-meter relay that clocked a 3:14.52 for fourth place at the MPSFs.

Freshman (2006): Redshirted both indoors and outdoors...transfer from City College of San Francisco.

High School: Attended Archbishiop Riordan...Gadayan was a two-time MVP on his high school track team and on its cross country team...he won CCS titles in the 800 meters and with his school's 4x400 relay...also played soccer and baseball at Archbishop Riordan.
