HIGH SCHOOL: Three-time all-league selection and two-time second team All-CIF choice at Lakewood High School...was a preseason All-American by Student Sports magazine as a senior...league-leader in kills (225) and had a single-match high of 38 kills, also a league record...toured Slovakia with the U.S. Junior National Team that won the gold medal in a European tourney in the summer of 1995...competed for Ichiban Volleyball Club, which won a gold medal at the 1993 Junior Olympics and a bronze medal in 1995...did not play most of the 1996 club season due to a broken leg...returned from the injury to play with former Cal teammate Kellie Alva on the Ichiban team that won the '96 USA Junior National Championship in San Jose...honored as the 1995 co-athlete of the year (for all sports) by the Lakewood Youth Hall of Fame.
