Estlander, Goransson Fall in Final as Pac-12s End
April 28, 2013
OJAI, Calif. -
California's fourth-seeded Annie Goransson and Cecilia Estlander pushed Washington's third-seeded Natali Coronel and Grace Ysidora in the doubles invitational final at the Pac-12 Championships, but the Golden Bears ultimately fell to the Huskies, 9-8(5), on Sunday at Libbey Park as the conference tournament came to an end.
Estlander and Goransson had been attempting to win Cal's second consecutive doubles invitational title - Tayler Davis and Laura Posylkin won it in 2012 - and give the Bears a conference title in three straight seasons, including in 2010 when Cal won the doubles championship (Mari Andersson and Jana Juricova) and the singles invitational (Alice Duranteau).
