With today's 45-44 California win, the Golden Bears have improved to 3-0 for the first time since 2011. Today's win also marked the first victory over Texas in the history of the series. The Longhorns had won the first five meetings. Cal scored more points tonight than in the previous five meetings combined (28).

Jared Goff broke three school records tonight. Now with 8,379 career passing yards, Goff surpassed Troy Taylor (8,126) for that record. Goff also set the school record for total offense (8,266) and career completions with 704. Goff's career passing yards rank 28th on the Pac-12 career list. He completed 27-of-37 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns. He garnered his 18th career multi-passing touchdown performance, and his 13th game of notching at least three touchdown passes. Goff's 62 career passing touchdowns are second in school history. Kyle Boller is first with 64. He also notched his 20th 250-yard passing performance, also a school record. On the season, Goff has completed 68 of his 93 attempts, good for a completion percentage of .731. His touchdown-to-interception ratio this season is 9-2. Goff also set a career high with four punts.  

Kenny Lawler has caught a pass in every game he's played at Cal (26). With Lawler's two touchdown receptions tonight, he now has 19 for his career, good for seventh all-time at Cal. Geoff McArthur is in sixth with 20. It was Lawler's seventh career multi-receiving touchdown performance.

Vic Enwere's 37-yard rush in the second quarter was the longest of his career. He finished the day with a personal-best 73 rushing yards on 16 carries. He scored his fourth and fifth rushing touchdowns this season, the fifth and sixth of his career. Tonight marked Enwere's first career multi-rushing touchdown performance.

Khalfani Muhammad rushed for a career high 164 yards (previous was 95) on 10 carries, including a career-best 74-yd touchdown run. It was his first rushing touchdown this season and the ninth of his career.

Jalen Jefferson notched his third career interception in the second quarter, giving the Cal defense it's seventh interception this season through three games. Mustafa Jalil forced his first career fumble that was recovered by Jonathan Johnson, also the first of his career.

Cal is 5-for-5 on fourth conversions this season, and the Bears were 2-for-2 on fourth downs tonight, with both conversions going for touchdowns (Lawler's receiving touchdown and Enwere's second touchdown).  

Cal scored 31 unanswered points during a stretch tonight. The Bears also scored 35 unanswered points vs. San Diego State and 66 against Grambling State.

Cal has outscored its opponents, 49-0, in the third quarter in the first three games this season.

The Cal offense was close to being evenly balanced. The Bears had 37 pass attempts to 41 rushes.

Cal's turnover margin this season through three games is +4 (9 gained, 5 lost). Cal scored 10 points off turnovers tonight.  

Bryce Treggs has caught a pass in 35 of the last 36 games that he has played in and his last 29 contests in a row.

Maurice Harris caught Cal's first touchdown of the game. It was his second this season and the sixth of his career.
