Former Cal All-American and 13-year NFL veteran Andre Carter has returned to the Golden Bears' football program as a student assistant coach. Carter, who will assist with the team's defensive line, enrolled as an undergraduate at Cal earlier this year to pursue his bachelor's degree in American studies.

Carter took a break from his studies recently to chat with CalBears.com about what it means to be back at Cal, and how he intends on mentoring the current Bears.
