BERKELEY, Calif. – The best water polo teams in the nation descend on Cal's Spieker Aquatics Complex on Dec. 3-4 for the NCAA Men's Water Polo National Championships and fans will get their first chance to secure admission to the event when tickets go on sale Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Two-day ticket packages for either upper general admission or lower general admission seating can be purchased by visiting the Cal Ticket Office website. Season ticket holders and donors will receive early access via a pre-sale on Monday.
Times for Saturday's semifinal round have not yet been announced but the national championship game is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. Last year's NCAA Championships, hosted by UCLA, saw Cal return to the postseason and the Bears placed third with a win over UC San Diego. The Bruins defeated USC 10-7 to win their second-straight national title.
The 2016 tournament marks the first time since 2010 and 2011 that Cal has hosted the NCAA Championships. USC captured the title both years but the Bears remain the country's leader in national titles with 13.
This year's bracket will be announced on Nov. 20 on NCAA.com and play-in games will be contested between then and the NCAA Championships on Dec. 3-4. Dates, sites and times for those matches will be revealed with the bracket.
