Paris Austin Leads Bears With 18 Points

  • Cal started three newcomers against Yale - Paris Austin, a junior transfer from Boise State, and freshmen Andre Kelly and Matt Bradley
  • Kelly, in his first Cal game, finished with a team-leading 10 rebounds, including 9 in the first half.
  • Austin paced the Bears with 18 points, shooting 6-of-10 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the line.
  • Bradley also reached double figures in his first collegiate game, finishing with 13 points.
  • After not scoring in the first half, Justice Sueing chipped in 9 points in the second half.
  • The Bears scored 17 points off 19 Yale turnovers.
  • After shooting just 20.0 percent from the floor in the first half (5-25), Cal was 50.0 percent from the field in the second half (13-26).
  • Sophomore Juhwan Harris-Dyson did not play due to a hand injury.
