Opening remarks:
"I'm very happy with the win. I felt like we played a very good first half. I told the guys that's the way we are supposed to play. That's the way we are supposed to look. We've been working hard since coming back from China on not taking quick shots and making the defense work. To see the guys come out and execute what we have been working on was great to see. The energy level was very high, and you could see them connect out there. I was happy to see we were able to fight through Hampton's run, get it together, and make some offensive and defensive plays. We played great as a team tonight".
 
On answering Hampton's run to start the second half:
"It was great because moving forward, they have the experience of going through that, knowing they can stay in control of the game even though the tide has shifted a little bit".
 
On Andre Kelley's performance tonight:
"He showed some great footwork. He didn't look like a freshman tonight. He really showed some poise down in the post by taking his time, not rushing and getting the quality shot. Andre was really good for us tonight."

On defensive performance:
"We work really hard on defense during practice. It's something we really emphasize as a team.  Some games I may get in a little bit of foul trouble, but tonight I was fortunate to play good enough  defense. My guards did a great job of not letting too much attack, not allowing too much penetration, so I was put in a really good situation".

On team's response following the trip from China:
"I think overall, we responded well. We had an emphasis in the first half to move the ball quick, get in the paint, and make the extra pass. In the first half, we came out and got some good shots".
 
On teams response following Hampton's run to open the second half:
"It felt good to get the win, especially on the home court. We have a lot of weapons. Any given night it can be Andre, Matt, Justice, Darius, Jacobi, myself -- we have a lot of talent. For everyone to come out in the first half and contribute and play well really helped us tonight".
