The third week in the weight room was the first full week in which the entire team worked out together, leading to some exciting results for the squad. The Bears also wrapped up their eccentric training series, and muscle gains are starting to become noticeable.
More on the week from Jackson:
Week 3 Focus
Â
It was our last week of eccentric training. The guys did really well as far as increasing their numbers. We saw a lot of squat numbers go up, and we saw a lot of bench numbers go up, which is what we want to see every week. We're starting to see a good amount of weight put on the guys.
Darius McNeill is continuing to pick up weight.

All Together Now
Â
Â
It was their first week all together, integrating the freshmen with the vets. We saw what each of the freshmen bring to the group. We're starting to see friendly competition. One guy will see another guy doing something he thinks he should be capable of too, so he'll try it for himself.

Jacobi Gordon is a guy who we see as the energy guy in the weight room. He's been pushing the freshmen, but also pushing the vets too. Jacobi is accustomed to working out, so he's out there pushing everyone. He's pushing Darius. That's two guys who have known each other for a while. I like what he's bringing, and he's down 10 lbs. also. He's really putting the work in, and it's good to see him dropping that weight and it's a healthy 10 over the last three weeks.
