BERKELEY - The start of a new school year brought the Cal student-athlete community together earlier this week as The Big C Society hosted the annual Welcome Back BBQ on Oski Lane. Before 850 Golden Bears lunched together and renewed acquaintances, they were invited inside Haas Pavilion to hear remarks from athletic director Jim Knowlton and chancellor Carol Christ.
