On USC's defense influencing offensive game plan:
"They forced us to shoot 27 threes. We are a very good shooting team. I'm ok with us shooting 27 threes against a zone that was very tight and prevented us from getting inside the paint. I wish we would've made more. We're a very good three-point shooting team. They gave us that shot, and we should've knocked those shots down.
 
On Connor Vanover's first game back:
"He's a weapon out there. We have that luxury of having him. He really shot the ball well, and gave us something on the offensive end."
 
On mentality when cutting down the Trojan lead:
"The message was to continue to fight. That's what we've been focusing on all week. They've got great size. We don't. For us to even up with them in boards was something we wanted, and we challenged our guys with all week. I thought the fight was there. We had some open looks that we normally knock down. Had we shot the ball a little bit better, it would've been a different game.

"The main key with us is to stay together, even when times get tough. For most of the game, we were really locked in, but we just came up short."
 
Reflecting on first career double-double:
"The big emphasis tonight was on grabbing rebounds. I came into this game ready to rebound, and ready to play. But we came up short and we'll get ready to come back and play UCLA on Saturday".
