Bears Come Back To Win In Overtime

  • With 23 points tonight vs. UNLV and his 25 points in the opener against Pepperdine, Matt Bradley has back-to-back 20-point games for the first time in his career.
  • Cal trailed 65-56 with 5:58 left in regulation before tying the game at 67-67 at the end of regulation and eventually making a 16-2 run with a 72-67 lead with 2:37 left in overtime.
  • The Bears shot 50.9% from the floor after making 57.4% of their shots in the opener against Pepperdine. It marks the first time Cal has shot at least 50% in consecutive games since playing Hampton (50.0%) and St. John's (56.9%) last Nov. 13-19.
  • Joel Brown scored 9 of his 12 points after halftime.
  • Paris Austin (10 points) and Kareem South (14 points) both reached double figures.
  • Cal's bench outscored UNLV's reserves, 24-10.
  • Cal scored 13 points off UNLV turnovers – all in the second half and overtime.
  • Cal played its first overtime game since a 75-67 loss to UCLA on Feb. 13, 2019. The victory was Cal's first overtime win since a 95-89 decision over Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 16, 2017.
