Bears Announce Additions In Early Signing Period

Cal Signs Six To National Letters Of Intent

BERKELEY  -  Six future members of the California women's soccer team made it officialthis week signing their National Letters of Intent. Head coach Neil McGuire and the Golden Bears are excited to welcome Skylar Briggs (Torrance, Calif.), Hannah Cooper (Irvine, Calif.), Maya Evans (Millbrae, Calif.), Julia Gonsman (Pleasanton, Calif.), Rilee Harmon (Corona, Calif.), and Lily Shea (Newport Beach, Calif.) to Berkeley next season.

The class brings a pedigree of success at both the club and high school levels, and looks to provide valuable contributions for the 2020 season.

"We are excited to have this group join us as we continue to shape the future of our program," said Cal head coach Neil McGuire. "Each have unique soccer qualities that will help us on the field, but also collectively, they have the character, personality, and academic pedigree that make our program so special."

The 2019 Cal soccer team will be in action on Saturday, taking on Santa Clara in the First Round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Kickoff between the Bears and Broncos will be at 1 p.m. PT at Santa Clara's Stevens Stadium.
