Bears Hold On For 54-50 Win

Tonight's game was the second of four contests the Bears will play as part of the 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. Cal defeated California Baptist last Friday, and the Bears play Duke and either Texas or Georgetown Nov. 21-22 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
With the victory, Cal improved to 4-0, its first 4-0 start since 2015-16.
With 16 points tonight, Matt Bradley has scored at least 16 points in each of his four games this year and is averaging 20.0 ppg.
Freshman forward Kuany Kuany made his debut for the Golden Bears in the first half.
Cal ended the first half on a 12-2 run, holding the Panthers to one field goal over the final 8:59 of the period.
Grant Anticevich followed up his career-high 23-point performance vs. California Baptist with 13 points and six rebounds.
With the 54-50 win, Cal held an opponent to its fewest points since a 68-43 win at Arizona State on February 8, 2017.
