Andre Kelly Scores Career-High 26 Points

  • Andre Kelly scored a career-high 26 points, breaking his previous best of 19 vs. San Jose State on Dec. 21, 2018. All but six points came after halftime. His season best entering the game was 16 points against Pepperdine in the opener.
  • Combined with his 10 points earlier this week vs. Fresno State, Kelly has reached double figures in consecutive games for the third time in his career and first time since going for 11 at Fresno State and 19 vs. San Jose State last December.
  • Kelly's effort was the seventh 20-point game by a Golden Bear this year. The 26 points were also the most by a Cal player this season, topping the 25 points by Matt Bradley vs. Pepperdine.
  • Kareem South started the game 4-for-4 from the field, including two 3-pointers, scoring 10 of Cal's first 12 points.
  • Matt Bradley dished out a season-best 5 assists – most for a Golden Bear this year. With 14 points, he has now reached double figures in 10 of 11 games this season.
  • Grant Anticevich scored 8 of his 11 points in the second half.
  • Saint Mary's shot 54.3% from the floor, the first team to shoot at least 50% vs. Bears this season. The Gaels' 89 points are the most by a Cal opponent this year.
  • Cal committed 8 turnovers, its second-lowest total of the season after the Bears' six vs. Fresno State last Wednesday.
  • Cal outscored Saint Mary's, 11-0, in points off turnovers.
  • The loss ended Cal's eight-game Haas Pavilion winning streak dating back to last year.
