BERKELEY – California women's tennis has signed talented recruits Hannah Viller Møller and Jada Bui to National Letters of Intent, head coach Amanda Augustus announced Tuesday.

"We are very excited to welcome Jada and Hannah to the Cal tennis family," Augustus said. "They are elite-level competitors who have won multiple national championships and have represented their countries at the highest level in international competitions. They are committed to the goals of our program and are passionate about achieving them. Besides their tennis accomplishments, both Jada and Hannah are outstanding young women off the court and in the classroom, and we can't wait to see how they will grow during their time in Berkeley."

Bui, from Pickering, Ontario, Canada, currently holds a career-best ITF combined ranking of 68 and a career-high WTA ranking of 744. The 17-year-old is a 10-time Canadian champion, who's captured multiple national singles and doubles titles. She represented Canada in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, reaching the singles quarterfinals and also competing in doubles, and won two gold medals in the 2017 Canada Summer Games. She also competed in the U14 World Championships (2014) and the U16 Junior Fed Cup. Most recently, the 5-9 Bui won the singles title at the Ottawa International Championships, a J3 tournament in Canada. Tennis runs in the family, as her older sister, Mya Bui, plays for the University of San Francisco.

A product of Hellerup, Denmark, Viller Møller, 18, has a career-high ITF combined ranking of 103 and played for the Danish Fed Cup team in 2019. Ranked No. 1 in the U12, U14, U16 and U18 Denmark rankings, Viller Møller also captured Danish junior national championships at each of the four age groups. In 2018, she competed in qualifying in each of the junior Grand Slam tournaments, with Viller Møller reaching the singles main draw of the Australian Open. She has won titles at several ITF junior tournaments, including taking the singles crown in a 2016 G4 event in Varnamo Sweden, when she was 14. More recently, the Dane played in the W15 tournament in Tabarka, Tunisia, in September, advancing to the singles semifinals.
