Bears Push Bruins To Overtime

  • Darius McNeill finished with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 6 steals. His point total was his most since scoring 23 points at UCLA in January, while his rebound total matched his season best (4). McNeill also had a career-high 7 steals at UCLA, giving him 11 vs. the Bruins this season.
  • The game was Cal's first overtime contest since a 95-89 win over Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 16, 2017. It was also Cal's first OT game vs. UCLA since a 76-72 Cal win on Feb. 20, 2011, in Berkeley.
  • Justice Sueing scored 8 of his 15 points in the first half, his sixth straight game in double figures and 10th time in Pac-12 play this year.
  • Connor Vanover contributed 12 points, his fourth consecutive game in double figures and the sixth time he's scored at least 10 points this season. He also set his career best with 6 rebounds.
  • Juhwan Harris-Dyson finished with a season-best 5 rebounds in the first nine minutes of the game.
  • Grant Anticevich came off the bench to score 6 points, his most since tallying 9 at UCLA in January.
  • Cal's 32-25 halftime lead marked its largest advantage at the break since the Bears were up, 31-19, vs. Santa Clara on Nov. 26.
  • As a team, Cal finished with 11 steals, the sixth time this season the Bears have reached double figures. Cal had 17 steals in its first meeting with UCLA, a season best.
  • Cal started the game on a 9-0 run, and help UCLA to 0-for-9 during the stretch. Justice Sueing led the way for the Bears with 6 points.
  • UCLA's 39.0 FG% was the lowest for a Cal opponent since Hampton shot 31.0% on Nov. 13.
