Sueing Earns Pac-12 All-Academic Spot

Sophomore Starter Recognized For 3.275 GPA

SAN FRANCISCO – In addition to leading California men's basketball on the court, sophomore starter Justice Sueing is helping to lead his team in the classroom as well. The standout was named a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention, the league announced today.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Sueing owns a 3.275 cumulative GPA. While he has yet to declare a major, he intends to pursue the pre-med field. His academic success has come alongside another strong campaign on the court for the Bears, which has seen Sueing average a team-high 14.5 points and 6.1 rebounds.

Sueing and the Bears open the Pac-12 Tournament against Colorado in a Wednesday afternoon matchup at T-Mobile Arena. Tipoff from Las Vegas is set for 2:30 p.m., live on Pac-12 Networks.
