An Tied For 14th After Three Rounds At U.S. Open
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Former Cal men's golfers Byeong Hun An and
Collin Morikawa continued play Saturday during third round action at the 2019 U.S. Open with An up 18 spots into a tie for 14th and Morikawa up eight into a tie for 48th. An, who played with Tiger Woods on Saturday, shot a bogey-free three-under par round of 68 while Morikawa had a one-over par 72.
An is playing in the U.S. Open for the third time with his best previous finish a tied for 23rd-place showing in 2016, while Morikawa is making his debut in a major in his second tournament as a professional.
Morikawa is scheduled to tee off in fourth and final-round action Sunday along with Erik Van Rooyen at 10:06 am PT, while Byeong Hun An will play with Matt Wallace at 1:24 pm PT. All tee times Sunday are from the first tee.
An will begin Sunday's action eight strokes behind third-round leader Gary Woodland.
