Four Bears Set For FINA World Championships
Wright, Paul, Illes, McKee To Compete For Title
Four former and current Cal women's water polo student-athletes are set to compete in the 2019 FINA World Championships, which begin Sunday in Gwangju, South Korea.

Kindred Paul and Kelly McKee on the Canadian National Team while alum
Anna Illes will play for Hungary. Canada and Hungary were both placed in Group B and will face off against each other on Tuesday.
Canada gets things started Sunday in group play against Russia while Hungary takes on Korea. Each team plays three matches in group play before moving on to the round of 16.
Wright is coming off a brilliant season for the Bears in which she was named a Second Team All-American after scoring 67 goals and leading the Bears to the semifinals of the NCAA Championships. She has earned All-American honors in each of her first three seasons with the Golden Bears.
Illes and Paul each graduated in 2018 as part of one of the most accomplished classes in program history. Illes was a four-time All-American who played for Hungary in the 2016 Summer Olympics while Paul also earned All-American honors at Cal and is a mainstay on the Canadian National Team.
McKee is a longtime member of Team Canada who graduated in 2015 and also earned All-America honors while in Berkeley.
